Grindstones

Hashimoto Industry believes that the grindstone process is the most important process in mirror surface polishing.

Good quality grinding can be seen consistently down to the last fragment.
We have succeeded in overcoming what appears to be a simple requirement but is actually very difficult to achieve.
The grindstone must produce little scoring and be neither too hard nor too soft.
We were unsatisfied with the finish produced by commercially available grindstones and came up with our own product, packed with the know-how we have built up over many years. This is the Hashimoto original grindstone.

Hashimoto original GC grindstone

Characteristics
Our original GC grindstone has excellent grindability, produces little scratching and rarely clogs.
We use a hard abrasive, meaning it is perfect for hardened steel of HRC50 or above.

Examples of use
HPM38, STAVAX, S-STAR, SKD11 series, SKD61series, high-speed, super-steel, etc.
For exceptional use, it is also perfectly suited to the CENA-1 and NAK Premium.

Diamond paste

As the name suggests, diamond paste and diamond powder are essential to diamond polishing strength.
Diamond crystals come in two categories, monocrystal and polycrystal, and these are divided according to application.

Image of a monocrystal
Angular dimensions. A powerful polishing effect can be achieved from areas with large grain diameters thanks to the sharp edges.

Image of a polycrystal
This is a collection of very small diamonds, rigidly bonded together in bulk.
A powerful polishing effect can be achieved from areas with small grain diameters thanks to the countless tiny edges.

Similar to grindstones, with diamond paste and diamond powder it is crucial that there is consistent good quality polishing.
With Hashimoto original diamond paste and diamond powder, we solved this problem by insisting on “high concentration”.
We have used approximately three times the amount of diamonds used in normally-available products, and our even crystal size makes us unparalleled in terms of a steady polish.

Rotary stage

Depending on the mold dimensions (cylinder, circle, rod, etc.), rotating the mold can lead to dramatic improvements in polishing efficiency.
The angle, direction of rotation and rotation speed can all be freely controlled, with a compact design that minimizes loss of worktop space.

Magnetic chuck version Scroll chuck version

The revolving part of the rotary stage itself allows angle adjustments between 0° and 90°.
